Day 1 · Lunch & Dinner
Yogyakarta International Airport · Malioboro · Beringharjo Market
Your local representative welcomes you at Yogyakarta International Airport for a private transfer into the city, with rural landscapes, villages, and rice fields offering a first introduction to Central Java. After checking in and taking time to relax, walk the length of Malioboro — browsing batik and handicrafts, sampling local snacks, and watching the rhythm of the city — then continue to Beringharjo, Yogyakarta's traditional marketplace for fabrics, spices, and local produce. The day closes with your first Javanese dinner at a carefully selected local restaurant, introducing dishes such as ayam bakar, sate, and gudeg.

Day 2 · Breakfast & Lunch
Borobudur Temple · Javanese Village · Mendut Temple · Coffee Experience
Leave the city behind for the peaceful countryside and Borobudur, the immense Buddhist monument that rises from the landscape like a stone mountain, its terraces covered with intricate reliefs and hundreds of Buddha images. Beyond the temple, walk through a traditional village to see local houses, agricultural land, and daily routines away from the major monuments. Continue to Mendut Temple, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by an unhurried Javanese coffee or tea experience in the rural surroundings. Return to Yogyakarta by late afternoon; the evening is deliberately free.

Day 3 · Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Keraton Palace · Taman Sari · Batik Workshop · Prambanan
Begin at the Keraton Yogyakarta, the historic palace of the Sultanate and an enduring symbol of Javanese identity, exploring its courtyards and traditional architecture while learning about royal customs, ceremonies, and philosophy. Continue to Taman Sari, the former royal pleasure garden, with its water gardens, atmospheric passages, and hidden spaces. After lunch, visit a traditional batik workshop to watch artisans draw intricate patterns in wax — and, where possible, create a simple design yourself. Late in the afternoon, walk among the soaring temples of Prambanan as the changing light transforms the complex. If performances coincide with your travel dates, the Ramayana Ballet completes the day.

Day 4 · Breakfast & Lunch
Mount Merapi Jeep Adventure · Kaliurang · Countryside & Coffee
Today temples and palaces give way to nature. Travel north towards Mount Merapi, one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes, and leave the main vehicle behind for a local 4WD jeep journey through the volcanic landscape — passing villages and areas reshaped by previous eruptions and discovering how communities have adapted to living alongside the mountain. The experience is adventurous without being extreme and adapts to weather and group preferences. Continue to the cooler highlands of Kaliurang for a relaxed countryside lunch, with a local coffee or agricultural stop depending on conditions, then return to Yogyakarta for a free afternoon.

Day 5 · Breakfast & Lunch
Local Shopping · Farewell Lunch · Yogyakarta International Airport
Your final morning is intentionally relaxed. After breakfast and check-out there is time for last-minute exploration and shopping: batik, scarves, traditional handicrafts, local coffee, Indonesian snacks, and bakpia, the city's best-known speciality. Rather than a generic souvenir, perhaps choose a piece of batik whose pattern recalls the artisans you met along the way. Enjoy a final lunch at a selected local restaurant before your private transfer to Yogyakarta International Airport.
